This Is The Best Time Ever To Be Alive!

You have within you, right now, everything you need to deal with whatever the world can throw at you.

Brian tracy

A year ago I was on a football recruiting trip with my son, Daxon. It was cut short because of the “14 Days to Flatten The Curve” plan. At that time we couldn’t have imagined how dramatically this pandemic would impact all of our lives, or for how long.

For a long time, people talked about “when things get back to normal…”
But the truth is, we’re never going back to where we use to be. Things have changed and there are new ways of doing things. As much as I’ve heard people say they dislike the term, there is a “new normal.”
We’ve learned new ways of doing business, to connect, to learn, and to live our lives.

As I said a year ago, it’s those that are prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that will be successful. I have seen many who have already done that. But I also see many who are still paralyzed by fear.

If you’re ready to lead your own life and to find your own success, now is the time. You don’t have to wait for permission. There are others who are already doing it for themselves.

If you have a courageous and powerful mindset in our “new normal”, you can do amazing things!

Faith Over Fear

Let your faith be bigger than your fear

Over the past year as we listen to the mainstream media, there have been a lot of things that scare us. There has been a lot that has happened over the past year that has not been good from a health perspective, for business and the economy, for our freedoms, unity and more. And we continue to hear these same types of messages today about our future.

Not only have we been hearing this message, a lot of it has been true. People have lost their lives. Jobs have been lost and businesses have had to shut down. In fact, I personally have a business that I began in 2005 that I recently had to close down. So I get it, I know it first hand.

But one thing has not changed, and won’t change. Before this pandemic the mainstream media was sending us the same message of fear, problems and worry. It was just about something else. When this pandemic is long over they will continue to feed us fear, problems and worries. It’s their business. They need viewers. The more they have you pulled in, the better it is for them.

If you’re one who is tied so tightly to the news and being in “the know,” I challenge you to cut it off cold turkey for a week. I promise you that the world won’t stop. If there’s anything really important that you must know, you’ll know Everything the news is reporting on will still happen. Each network will continue to report on the same stories and their perspectives will be so different you wouldn’t even believe they’re talking about the same thing. But you will have less anxiety and stress.
We are living in the greatest time in the history of the world. Pandemic or not, everyone goes through hard times and that does not change the fact that there are more opportunities than have ever existed. At the beginning of the pandemic I created my free Momentum Series training and said, “This is a historical time, things are uncertain and we don’t know what the future holds. Things will not be the same. But we are going to get through this and there will be some great opportunities for those who are prepared…”

Stop living in fear and start having faith! Have faith that today can be great! Have faith that there is a great future ahead for you. Have faith that life is good. You will always be faced with tests and challenges, but you can and will get through them. Have faith that you will create the opportunities that will change your life.
Have faith and believe in yourself.

Life Is Happening For You

Life is happening for you, not to you.

Tony Robbins

As we stop living in fear and start having faith in ourselves, our future, and our life, we gain a new perspective. We all have our challenges, our failures, and our struggles. But what if we can look at these events in our lives as happening for us, rather than to us?

We have the choice to live in the negative emotional space created by these events, or we can acknowledge it for what it is, and see the good that it created in our lives.

In July I had the opportunity to attend Tony Robbins’ Unleash The Power Within (UPW). Tony talked about people who have created bad things in our lives and said, “if you’re going to give them credit for everything that is so messed up, then you have to give them credit for everything that is great. Because life is not so simple – it’s not binary.”

I had the opportunity to listen to Siri Lindley, a two-time Triathlon World Champion talk about her relationship with her father.

When Siri’s father heard that she was gay, he called her and said, “tell me it isn’t true, tell me my daughter is not gay.”

She said, “dad, this is who I am.”

The outcome of that conversation was that she didn’t talk to her father again for two years. He married someone a few years younger than Siri, they had a couple of children and they replaced the family Siri once had. Siri said she was hurt deep. She felt that she wasn’t worth sticking around for and he didn’t love her anymore.
But then she changed her perspective and looked at her experience as something that happened for her, rather than to her. She said, “The experience I had with my dad made me want to fight… in a good way. Fight to be all that I can be. To prove that I matter, and most importantly, prove to myself that I’m special and I have every right to achieve success, and find love, and be happy, even though I’m gay. I have every right. So his role that he played drove me in so many ways, and I’m grateful for that.”

She attributes a lot of the success she has had on the world stage to the drive her father gave her to become the best that she could be.

Recognizing this also allowed her to build a new relationship and future with her father. When she had this change of perspective, she called her father on the phone. She said, “Dad, I can’t even express to you how much you’ve hurt me. But I also can’t express enough how grateful I am because everything that I am today has been influenced by our life together in the early years and what happened afterwards. I am who I am because you made me want to find a way to be everything that I can be. Maybe I was trying to get your attention, or to make you proud, or to make you love me even though I was gay. But what it did was it helped me to love myself, and to respect myself and to appreciate who I am. So thank you.”

Are you playing the victim card? Are you living in a negative emotional space? What has happened during the pandemic that can open up new doors and a new reality for you. How can you discover the hidden opportunities that are waiting for you. What is the silver lining?

What if you were to change your entire perspective on this pandemic? What if this world wide pandemic happened just for you? What if it happened for the sole purpose of helping you discover an incredible opportunity that is there for YOU?
Life is happening FOR you!

It’s Time To Achieve Your Dreams – The Great Reset Means Opportunity

The future belongs to those who believe n the beauty of their dreams.

Eleanor Roosevelt

There has never been a better time to chase your dreams. This is The Great Reset! With so many lives and businesses being turned upside down there has never been a better time to try. Try the things that you have been dreaming of. Try the things that you have wanted to do but didn’t have the courage.

There are people who had dreams of starting a business but never have because they were too afraid to walk away from their “secure job.” But now they are unemployed because that secure job doesn’t exist anymore.

There are jobs that disappeared and will never reappear. There are jobs that didn’t exist a year ago that will be in high demand going forward. There are new ways of doing business today that will be the norm as we continue into the future.

Just as I had said before, when you look at the events of your life as happening for you, rather than to you, you’ll be able to recognize the opportunities in front of you.

What is the life you desire? What is the lifestyle that you want. Start living it today and build everything else around that.

Shortly after writing this I opened up Instagram and the first post I read was from my good friend, Richie Norton. Here’s part of what he said:

“This is by date and by far the best time EVER to be alive. Future will be even better. It’s hard to think of anything in the past that was better than today…Grateful to live through the ups and downs with my family, Natalie, Raleigh, Cardon, and Lincoln. So good. So so good. They’re so good…Lil moments make the majority of life.Peak experiences reframe.Giant leaps from valleys to mountain tops to moon walks all require the same think: one small step.”

I love it!

This IS the best time EVER to be alive! The future WILL be even BETTER!

Now is the time to go achieve those dreams. Start with one small step!

Create Powerful Connections

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.

African Proverb

The new normal has made the world a smaller place. Over the past year the opportunity to connect with people has exploded. But it’s not the same as in the past where you’d attend a networking event and meet new people from around your city

Through the events of the last year, I have had the opportunity to virtually meet people from around the world. Beyond meeting people I have had the opportunity to coach, collaborate with, do business with, and train with people from the US, Canada, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Pakistan, India, and Australia just to name a few.

Experts agree that the most connected people are often the most successful. When you invest in your network and your relationships you’ll be exposed to more opportunities.

The time and effort you put into connecting is well worth the investment required on your part

Connect with as many high quality people that you can with only one intention and purpose… To genuinely serve them.

As you focus on building relationships where you can serve others without the expectation of anything in return, I can promise you 100% that you’ll have incredible opportunities handed to you

Your Success Habits Will Shape Your Destiny

Successful people are simply those with successful habits.

Brian Tracy

Your habits are what will create your life, for good or bad.

With all of the opportunity we have in front of us, there has never been a more important time to implement success habits into your daily routine.

There are so many different success habits that I could talk about. Everything from what you read to daily affirmations. You can read many articles that I’ve written on the topic at https://jeffheggie.com/jeff-heggie-blog/

But what I want to talk about today is how you begin your day.

If you begin your day by doing these three things, you’ll be on your way to success.

  1. Write out and review your top goals
  2. Answer you mindset questions
  3. Journal

Success won’t happen without taking action, but it begins with discipline and the right mindset. You don’t have to dedicate a lot of time to these three areas, but if you’ll discipline yourself to go through this process every single day and then take action, you will find success.

Begin your day by thinking about, reviewing, and writing out your top priority goals. You could just read them aloud to yourself, but I like the practice of writing them out by hand every single morning because it gives me more time to be thinking abut them. I currently have six goals that I write out, using the words I would use as if I have already accomplished those goals. I follow up with my Definite Chief Aim statement which I created from chapter two in Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich

If you don’t have clearly defined goals that you can write out on a daily basis, that is where you must begin. Go and get my free Momentum Series to set and understand your clearly defined goals.

The next step is to answer your Mindset Questions. The whole purpose of this step is to get yourself in the right mindset to have a successful day. This will help you to take action, face challenges with confidence, and seek out the opportunities you need to succeed.

You can create questions that suite you, or you can go to https://jeffheggie.com/mindset/ to get my list of mindset questions.

My favorite Mindset Question is, “What can you do today that will take you outside of your comfort zone?” Each time you do something outside of your comfort zone, you become more comfortable with that thing. If you are stepping outside of your comfort zone on a daily basis, it doesn’t take long before your comfort zone is huge and it’s difficult to find something that makes you feel that you’re stepping outside of your comfort zone.

The final step is to journal. This doesn’t have to be a long process, but take some time to write about your goals, your vision of your future, and how you’re going to get there. Don’t worry about reality, write whatever you want. Write about the things you desire the most and how you intend to get them. Write about the life you want. Create your vivid vision. Write about the next steps you need to take on your journey to success.

Conclusion

Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.

There really has never been a better time to be alive.

Having the right mindset today can help you find success ahead of all those who are waiting for permission or waiting for things to return back to normal.

Our old normal is not coming back. Things have changed. Your success and your future are up to you.

If this sounds like you. If you’re ready to take charge of your life in the new normal and make a difference in the world, got to https://mindset.jeffheggie.com/ and find out more about my High Achievers Mindset Secrets program that will help you to unlock your true potential.
